Maps

  • Do you do community maps?

Yes. We create maps that range from tear-off pad maps to folded road maps, with or without advertising sales.

  • How accurate are your maps?

Our maps are as accurate as they possibly can be. We start with mapping files from your community’s own local Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.) office or E-911 office to create the map. Then we put the map through a minimum of two local proofing phases, where the people who “know” your roads and points of interest review the map and suggest updates.

  • Are your maps online?

We do have interactive versions of our maps, usually accessible from the Chamber or Tourism website. Also, many of the participating advertisers link to the interactive map from their own websites.!

  • Do people still use paper maps?

Absolutely! GPS is great if you know where you are going, but for new people and businesses relocating into the community, GPS does not provide the wayfinding that folks need to orient themselves with their new homes or businesses. Plus, when you are looking to make one of your largest investments – a home, for example – you want to be sure you select the area that will best suit your needs for schools, shopping and your job. A map will give you a “bird’s eye view” of the area, so you’ll see where those points of interest are in relation to where you want to be. And, many Baby Boomers, who are often retired and traveling, request paper maps.

  • My restaurant is online and Trip Advisor and Yelp help drive customers to me – I do not see the need for maps anymore. Why should I advertise?

Your business competes with numerous other businesses online, yet the maps promote ONLY a small, targeted group – you’ll be one of them, if you advertise!

Branding

  • How does community branding work?

Typically, 365 Degree Total Marketing will research your community using tools that may include a Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats (SWOT) analysis, stakeholder interviews, community immersion tours, and demographics research. We will take the distinctive characteristics of your community discovered from the research to create a variety of possible logos and taglines for the community. You will choose the logos and taglines you like best, and we will use your feedback to produce another round of logos and taglines. From these, we hope you will choose a “winner,” but we will continue to tweak the logos as needed until you are 100% satisfied. Once a logo is finalized, we will create a marketing ad campaign featuring the logo and tagline and, if included in the contract, we will design stationery and business card packages, community positioning statements, presentation folders, billboards, designs for promotional products, website designs…the options are unlimited!

  • Can you develop complementary brands for multiple partners?

This is one of our favorite parts of branding, and YES, we can do this. When multiple partners in a community sign on for branding, the entire community buys in and presents a united front to the rest of the world. This show of unity is far more impactful for the entire community than if one entity alone brands itself .

  • What is branding?

A brand is a promise. A brand is what is said about you when you leave the room. A brand is an experience. A brand is either created by you or created by others’ perception of you. A brand says who you are – your personality, your promise, your deliverables and your story. At 365 Degree Total Marking, we believe your brand should say where you are going, help you compete for business, make you stand out and create market awareness for you, and position you for the future.

  • What are the stages of branding? Do we have to do all phases?

The stages of branding are: (1) Research; (2) Branding & Message Development; and (3) Strategic Brand Implementation and Community Engagement. We believe each of these stages is necessary, but the steps within each phase can be modified to fit your budget and your timeline.

  • Has anyone at 365 Degree Total Marketing done a community SWOT analysis?

Members of the 365 Degree Total Marketing team have facilitated more than 50 Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats (SWOT) analyses for communities across the Southeast as part of the branding and strategic planning processes.

  • How is your community SWOT analysis different?

At the SWOT analysis meetings that our team facilitates, we add a community psychological profile component. We ask the attendees to describe their community both now and in the future as a vehicle, as a shape, as a color, etc., each of which has a meaning that the community is not told of at the beginning of the session. We tally the responses and use the results to develop logos and taglines that truly represent the individual community. Once a logo is finalized, we share the results of the community psychological profile to show how the final brand matches the community’s perception of itself and its goals.

Websites

  • How many websites does 365 Degree Total Marketing develop?

We design, program and go live with an average of 14 websites a year. Since 2005, we have developed more than 75 websites for chambers of commerce, economic development authorities, tourism bureaus, retail businesses, city and county governments, churches and non-profits, service businesses, and many others. Our client footprint stretches from Georgia and the Carolinas to Arkansas and Oklahoma…and we’re not stopping there!

  • Do you use templates to create websites?

We do not use templates to build websites for two major reasons: (1) we don’t want your website to look like any other website; and (2) we have found the common templates in the market to be riddled with security issues that make it easy for hackers to gain access to your site and wreak havoc. Our award-winning designers will ensure your website is gorgeous and looks like no other, and our programmers will hand-code your website in HTML to help manage security.

  • Will my website look good on a phone?

We design and build websites to be responsive and optimized for desktop to mobile conversion, so your website will look great on a phone!

  • Can you help me get my website to the top of Google’s page 1?

We do a great deal of work with Search Engine Optimization (SEO), both as part of your website writing, design and programming and as additional features. All our web pages are indexed for full-text searches, and our content starts with SEO words and phrases to help increase your rankings. We offer additional services that primarily focus on SEO and increasing your search rankings.

  • Can I make changes to my website myself?

All static editorial pages are built with an easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS) that will allow you to go into the back end of your website to make changes. However, some things such as certain photo changes, database management, etc. may be too much; we are more than happy to make those complicated changes for you.

  • How can I find out who is visiting my website?

We can offer a package that includes Advanced Lead Generation which can reveal details about who is visiting your website, including real time email notification and a monthly summary report.

  • How many videos does 365 Degree Total Marketing produce?

We produce an average of 24 videos a year.

  • Do I really need video?

Viewers are 85% more likely to purchase a product after watching the product video, and viewers remember 58% more of what they see using audio and video. According to HubSpot, 54% of consumers want to see more video from marketers in the future. Videos are perfect for attractions, CVBs, cities, counties, cabins, lodges & accommodations, festivals & events, websites, social media and more!
